We believe in the eternal
Goodness, the eternal Loving-kindness, and the eternal Givingness of Life to
all.
– Ernest Holmes Principles of
Religious Science
If I am to receive prosperity, I
must first love it and with intent only for goodness, I must give freely the
prosperity that I presently have. I may exchange it as value given for value
received and I benefit from wise investments, which allow what I invest to work
for others as I receive dividends, interest, or capital gains in return.
A genuine love of prosperity
fosters the prosperity of my source of spiritual nourishment as a percentage of
my earnings. It requires that I support myself and my family with a sense of
freedom, knowing that I cannot out give God and that the more generous I am
with myself and with others, the more generously I receive of the Universal
abundance through every honorable transaction.
The principle of eternal Goodness
means that if I keep my attention solely on the good of God, which is
spiritual, I always have and enjoy whatever I require for a rich, full, and
happy life. All worry or fear dissipates like a morning mist before a fresh
breeze. Genuine peace fills my heart and my thoughts.
Loving prosperity means loving
the source of my prosperity. Even the godless benefit from loving the rest of
humanity; and, if they discover God in the process, they are twice prospered
because of it. In loving anyone or anything with genuine love, I open my heart,
mind, and will to discovering something more wonderful than what appears on the
surface. I think that if I were to always look with the eyes of love, my
surfaces would glow with greater beauty and though I would find the greater
within, I would be less surprised at what I see.
One personal thought that
empowers my prosperity love is my belief that there is enough for all. I do not
compete for life or any good of life. The Divine Source is within and living as
each of us with equally infinite potential, which recognized, fulfills itself
as our unfolding dreams and desires.
Infinite Love/Intelligence now
reveals through me my perfect prosperity as my innate goodness,
loving-kindness, and givingness. I now see this same prosperity as the blessing
and delight available to everyone with whom I enjoy friendship, acquaintanceship,
or even casual contact. I am grateful to know the good of God revealed in all
as it provides its blessings to me in continuously delightful ways and so it
is.

“First
you ask definitely for direction, then it will enter your consciousness as a
definite thought; then in your turn you give it back the thought and it will
give you back the thing. It answers every question, solves every problem; it is
the solution to every difficulty.” Ernest Holmes

Although we love prosperity, we have learned that we wish it for others more than we do ourselves.
I have learned that blessings given are blessings received. :)
