We should go further than this and train ourselves to expect more good. I Joyfully Expect My Best 

The Universe is more than alive; It is life Itself expressed beyond galaxies, stars, and planets as all that is both potential and actual. It is infinite yet as Life, It is imminently present everywhere. As I perceive this truth, I understand I am Life as me with all the perfection and potential of Life readily available to me as soon as I notice It. I get to choose what I notice in my world so; I get to choose my realization of the Reality of Life. 

I choose abundant blessings in all my days and nights. I choose and accept thoughts and feelings of peace, assurance, gratitude, and love in all situations and circumstances and with everyone I meet. I embrace the best of Life that I can conceive and expand my conception of who I am and what I personally bring to the world, so I always fully live my self-awareness with increasing joy of being me. New and interesting experiences open my eyes to even greater possibilities and surprises coming to me now. 

I greet each day with healthy enthusiasm for both my routine and unexpected activities. I find my work, my play, and my rest equally uplifting and enriching. Now, gratefully, and expectantly, I release my claim to the Universe which makes it so. And so, it is.
