Impersonal means not belonging to any particular person or persons. The
Creative Medium is Impersonal, having no personality of Its own. It neither
knows nor cares who uses It, but is always ready to work for any or all alike.
It is very important that we remember this. The Creative Mind is impersonal
receptivity, in that It receives all seeds of thought.
– Ernest Holmes Science of
Mind
The very fact that we come from the Universe in a
self-conscious state, proves that behind all manifestation there is a Power
that knows Itself; and a Power that knows Itself must be Personal. It is not,
of course, limited. It must be Infinite. As wonderful as the concept may be,
God is Personal to all who believe in Him. God is responsive to all who
approach Him, and God is the Element of Personalness back of all personality.
We could not be conscious beings unless there were a First- Consciousness in
the universe. – Ernest Holmes Science of Mind
The Power/Love of God is personal
to the one who knows It. However, this Power/Love, Creative Medium, or
Love/Intelligence is here for all of us and does not care how we use It.
Caution! Use at your own risk.
This is incredibly powerful stuff when compared to all other means to achieve
prosperity. Used rightly, It will move mountains or uproot trees according to
our words and expectations. Nothing else works this way. All the rest may psych
us up to act in certain ways but ultimately when we are in this psyched up
attitude, we draw this Power into use for good if we clearly include good or for
ill, if we get sloppy in our specifications.
“A sword's crushing blow
extinguished the life of Thomas Becket, Archbishop of Canterbury, on a cold
December evening as he struggled on the steps of his altar.” The year was 1170
when his former dear friend King Henry II, frustrated and enraged with Becket’s
refusal to submit the church in England to his control purportedly said, "What
sluggards, what cowards have I brought up in my court, who care nothing for
their allegiance to their lord. Who will rid me of this meddlesome priest?"
Four knights taking these words of frustration as a command slew Becket, which
threw medieval Europe into turmoil.
Every feeling statement that we
make, especially any demands upon the universe or any part of it carries
directive power, which moves the Impersonal into action to accomplish our claim
or demand. We are more powerful than kings and the Impersonal responds with even
greater allegiance than loyal knights. “Be careful what you wish for.” is good
advice. Even casual thoughts are causal in nature when we accept them as
possible and desirable.
We may all use this Power for a
blessing upon our families, communities, and upon our own selves simply by
selecting and accepting the blessing. There is sufficient for all. The Power
does not care what we claim and any claim receives its answer according to the
faith of the claimant.
I know that the infinite
Love/Intelligence is personal to me and Its impersonal ever available power responds
to my word. I now let the meditations of my heart and the words of my mouth
flow forth lovingly and wisely for the common good and my own. Prosperity,
abundantly available to all, now lavishly pours itself over and through my life
and affairs. I gratefully accept it and so it is.

“First
you ask definitely for direction, then it will enter your consciousness as a
definite thought; then in your turn you give it back the thought and it will
give you back the thing. It answers every question, solves every problem; it is
the solution to every difficulty.” Ernest Holmes
