Being Your Vision – Prosperity Accounting

“The king was in his counting house,
Counting out his money…”
– English Nursery Rhyme “Four and Twenty Blackbirds”

Count your blessings. Did you ever make an inventory of the good things in your life and write down how much you have to be thankful for? Are you glad that you are alive, glad that you have a family and friends, glad that you have the opportunity to express yourself, glad that there is a great certainty coming into your life, a feeling that you belong to the universe in which you live? – Ernest Holmes Science of Mind

Prosperity is far more than the money you have or can use through your good credit. It is greater than the sum of your good but only when you take account of that good, otherwise prosperity seems a distant and difficult proposition. We might say, “I want to be truly prosperous in the sense of being, doing, and having all that I desire; and living that way with grace and ease. How is that possible? What must I know and do?”

When we approach prosperity with open mind and heart, willing to set aside all preconceived ideas and discover what we bring to prosperity, we are well on our way to that prosperity we desire. A good accounting for prosperity is a thorough self-examination; but requires a positive approach that asks more about what we have now than about what we lack now. Appropriate questions include: Who am I and what do I want? What blessings and benefits do I bring to this moment from my past? What are my main interests, skills, talents, and values? What are my blessings today? Am I healthy, creative, loving, moneywise, etc.? What do I contribute now and how can I contribute more with enjoyment in my process?

We can all think of more but rather than ask why we are not prosperous, we must always focus on why we are as prosperous as we are today and how much we enjoy today and see of greater joy on the horizon. In our accounting, we must always itemize not only what we have but what we have accomplished, are accomplishing, and intend to complete or continue for ourselves and for our families and communities. That keeps us in the mindset of prosperity as a continuum rather than an occasion.

Today, with a grateful heart and mindset, I count my blessings and count the ways that I share my blessings with my world. My world works for all because I only see the perfection of divine Spirit as the completion of humanity’s purpose for being. That completion is now and always shall be a flowing process of joyful expedience as we prosper in health, work and play, love, and financial freedom. I claim it now as my reality. The Law of Spirit in action agrees and makes it so for so it is.
