Being Your Vision – Tuning Prosperity

If the only existence poverty has is in the thoughts of man, to withdraw the belief in poverty is to destroy the poverty… It is clear, therefore, that by taking possession of your Consciousness, you can tune out all that is ugly, frustrating, and poor and can tune in all that is beautiful, satisfying, and rich.
– Robert Russell You, too, Can Be Prosperous

A persistent ad for a credit card asks, “What’s in your wallet?” Far better is the question, “What’s in my consciousness?” or, “What is persistently and predominately on my mind?” Our constant thoughts are like colored lenses showing us everything in distorted hue because they filter out certain wave-lengths of light.

There is an old analogy comparing the mind to radio that says that we only receive the station that we tune in to. Factory tuning has made personal tuning obsolete when it comes to radio, television, even cars but the idea is still sound. We need to filter out all vibrations or waves of negativity and tune in to everything of positivity.

So, what are our fist thoughts on arising and our last thoughts at bedtime? What dreams do we dream? Are they pleasant or oppressive? What grabs our attention when we distract ourselves from what we desire to be doing? This last question is a subtle reminder that if we are engaging in work for work’s sake or just to earn a living, we have tuned out prosperity and tuned in some other way of limited thinking. Prosperity does include “work” but that work is our joyful and playful expression of our passions.

Prosperity is not always about having more. It means enjoying what we have in a greater way. Having money is helpful when we remain unburdened but a hindrance if we must spend all of our time managing our money without the freedom to enjoy its benefits. One prosperity workshop leader said of the wealthy that no one should do what he or she could pay another to do except for the joy of doing it. Good money management is inexpensive and it is profitable.

We tune in to prosperity when we enjoy caring for our bodies, even if we don’t get to have three hour massages. A clear prosperity signal includes the joy of work and the joy of play with a sense of gratitude to our higher power or to God. Even fabulous wealth with conflict and poor relationships is poverty. Yet, health with cheerful creativity and wonderful love without the money to live freely is not bad but it isn’t prosperity either.

Real prosperity means we have it all and we enjoy all that we have. It is the freedom to decide something and follow through on that decision, knowing that everything required already is available or shows up as we go. Prosperity is rich, full, happy, and contented living with gratitude and appreciation for every aspect of life. I’ll take it.

I tune in to the Infinite and reviving a clear signal on a clear channel, I hear and heed divine wisdom in all I do. My conscious noise filters remove anything other than pure prosperity from my mind so I always see the prosperity I have and the prosperity on my horizon with perfect clarity. I see it. I believe it. I have it now. And, so it is.

“First you ask definitely for direction, then it will enter your consciousness as a definite thought; then in your turn you give it back the thought and it will give you back the thing. It answers every question, solves every problem; it is the solution to every difficulty.” Ernest Holmes
