Being Your Vision – Getting Prosperity

We should convince ourselves that our pay-check is a reflection of our inner conviction of our worth, plus our determination to achieve it; that the great Ocean of Subjective Mind will produce what we want, when we go after it with a single mind; that neither hell nor high water can keep us from getting it, that conditions, depressions, shortage of jobs do not apply to us - they apply only to those who fear them; that we have been endowed with the same Mind that has always brought success to the prosperous, and that our mind has great creative power because it is the Mind that created the universe, and all the wealth that is in it. ― Ernest Holmes Power for Good

Getting means to me both receiving and understanding with empathy. So, we are getting prosperity when we receive cheerfully every ounce of pleasure in every minute we are alive and we are getting prosperity when we understand with relaxed ease that any person’s prosperity enhances our own. We expand our experience of prosperity and our ability to live fully whenever we know the truth that prosperity belongs to all of us and is readily available to the one who will begin where he or she is and use what he or she has fearlessly and joyfully.

We buy complete freedom with persistent coinage of faith as thoughts and actions, which affirm, “I can; I will; I am.” Even the rare born billionaire must use it wisely or lose it. The rest of us with nothing to lose and everything to gain, begin where we are and idea by idea, actively vision and pursue our dreams and to the degree that we accept them, we get them as reality and daily experience.

Countless have reflected on the manna in the desert and on receiving their daily bread. We need to praise our constant supply and then settle down with a clear understanding that right in front of us and all around us there is a promised land of plenty ready for us to receive it but in order for us to get it, we must see it and with faith fearlessly confront any remaining doubts or beliefs that stand in the way. And, then, we must act daringly with firm resolution and a smile in our hearts as we do all of the little things that add up to the big things, which make up the life and actions of a prospering person.

The idea of self-made prosperity in money and love is fabled in poem and proverb. It is an ancient idea that we find in sacred scripture and scratched on the walls of ancient caves and buildings. I think that we have always known the possibility and too many have failed to prosper because they thought some luck or favor of the gods, which they did not believe they possessed made it happen.

The favor of the gods and all luck result from belief. “I am lucky. My stars favor me. God loves me and wants me to have great wealth.” These are the statements of the prosperous. They rarely boast it but inside where they motivate themselves, they affirm their right to good. It is this affirmative belief and persistent attitude of favor that attracts the wealth they receive. Receive first in mind and heart and the getting is easy.

Withholding from none, lifting everyone in thought, I claim now my right to prosperity because I am alive. Spirit as my substance, my wisdom, and my creativity, motivates my activity in right places, ways, and channels to my benefit, which I freely share. In all ways possible, I get and keep on getting my prosperity and so it is.

“First you ask definitely for direction, then it will enter your consciousness as a definite thought; then in your turn you give it back the thought and it will give you back the thing. It answers every question, solves every problem; it is the solution to every difficulty.” Ernest Holmes
