What is faith? It is a positive
mental attitude which can be accepted by both the intellect and the emotions.
Faith is the great, positive, affirmative attitude of mind, and it is powerful
because it is in agreement with God. Faith can be creative only when it is thus
completely unified. – Ernest Holmes The Spiritual
Universe and You
We all have faith. It is
ingrained in our nature to believe and to accept. We learn by having faith
without even thinking about faith. What amuses me is denial of the value of faith by
people having faith that someone will hear and heed their denial. We could not
live or succeed in anything without our mental/emotional acceptance of our
abilities and the support of others and our environment to assist us.
The trader has faith in her system.
Pitchers have faith in the power and accuracy of their pitches. Successful
salespeople have faith in their ability to close a sale from cold call to
dotted line. But, I know people who are just as positive about their ability to
fail, so they succeed in failing regardless of what they try. Our attitude goes
before us and speaks to God and everyone else with a sure statement of our
expectations and the karmic tendencies return to us exactly what we expect.
I like to expect the unexpected. Part
of my prosperity is faith in the infinite possibilities beyond my predictions,
which return to me the desires of my heart in unexpected forms and unexpected
ways. This can be as varied as found money or a passing comment from a stranger
that turns into a conversation, a relationship, a friendship, or more. I am
always delighted when I meet new people who remind me of other people because
of shared interests and who become friends with the other people when I
introduce them. You see, I have faith that people want to know each other.
The key to prosperity faith is in
believing that prosperity is universally available, like numbers, which can’t be
used up or words, which combine to convey any idea we can think of. Both
prosperity and faith have the quality of being useful; and, faith applies
whenever we think about anything. As with numbers or words, some people are
more adept at using faith than others but that is more from practice than basic
talent. Faith must be practiced consciously for us to have the greatest
benefit, which means that we choose what we desire then choose to know it is
possible and when our intellectual knowing becomes our grateful feeling
acceptance then the thing is ours.
Any biography or autobiography of
a successful person contains abundant examples of faith in action, of
hardships, obstacles, and circumstances that appeared insurmountable but which
faded in the onslaught of faith driven action.
There is no magic in my faith for
it is the law of the universe that as soon as I believe in my ideas and myself
enough to begin to act, the entire universe responds to me and creates my
perfect way to demonstrate prosperity faith as wonderful success in both
ordinary and surprising ways and so it is.

“First
you ask definitely for direction, then it will enter your consciousness as a
definite thought; then in your turn you give it back the thought and it will
give you back the thing. It answers every question, solves every problem; it is
the solution to every difficulty.” Ernest Holmes
