Being Your Vision – Purposing Prosperity

The correct understanding that Mind in Its unformed state can be called forth into individual use is the key to all proper mental and spiritual work from a practical viewpoint. To know that we are surrounded by such a creativeness is not enough; however, we must use this knowledge for definite purposes if we expect to make conscious use of the law for personal self-expression.
– Ernest Holmes   Science of Mind

Nothing happens by chance. There are no accidents. The law of averages measures but does not control our possibilities or eventualities. We are wholly in charge of our lives. We call Mind forth into form and action with every conscious or other than conscious thought. It is the nature of Mind, thought, and expression that thought precedes action and that the feeling behind our thought sets the intensity and immediacy of that action.

Knowing that this is true, we can create our lives in perfect harmony with the highest good of our spiritual nature by living and thinking on purpose. Our purpose and intentions should focus on seeing and living prosperity now in all areas of our experience. How does this look? How do we achieve this?

Someone asked me recently about my spiritual practice, which I have shared as my daily M.E.T.A. – Meditation, Examination, Treatment, and Acceptance, which lead to Mindfulness, Enthusiasm, Thanksgiving, and Activity – or my 4 Pillars of Power. After speaking with him I realized that I precede sleep each night with a few moments of meditation and at least the affirmation, “I sleep in peace. I wake in joy.” If I have a problem or project before me, I instruct Mind to provide me with the perfect solution. Sometimes I see the answer immediately but usually it works through my daily routine or unexpected events, which show me exactly what I need to do. Often all I need to do is be grateful and accept.

I also noticed that if I wake in the middle of my sleep for any reason, I find an affirmation of unity comes to my attention and I lull myself back to sleep by repeating it. I wake myself in the same way, with an affirmation of unity and a statement to the effect that I am ready for a day of success and prosperity. I made a habit of my practice yet I always keep it fresh with deeper meditation, self-study, reflection on present Spirit as my Good, and new awareness of detachment from need to be right or need to fix.

My purpose is prosperity. It is living peace, assurance, gratitude, and love throughout every day. My prosperity includes seeing the light of Love in all parts of the world as a present active light dispelling dark fears for all who notice it. If God, Mind is the Absolute First Cause as unformed Substance; and, if we can form this Substance with our thoughts; then we are the Light and we can know this both practically and powerfully for good. Our purpose then, becomes our practice and our prosperity experience of life.

The one perfect Mind of God is my mind now, therefore, I think Its pure thoughts for the highest good and prosperity of my world and as I lift my consciousness, It lifts my world to meet me in love, gratitude, and joy and so it is.

“First you ask definitely for direction, then it will enter your consciousness as a definite thought; then in your turn you give it back the thought and it will give you back the thing. It answers every question, solves every problem; it is the solution to every difficulty.” Ernest Holmes
